Hey out there,
I'm new to the world of blogging, but thought I'd give it a shot! About a year ago I bought my first jar of tallow, and I've honestly been hooked since. I love that it's all natural, but what I love more is how my skin looks in the morning. I can put it on at night, and it doesn't need to be much because a little goes a long way with tallow, and in the morning my skin feels so moisturized.
I've had a few people tell me it feels greasy on their skin initially, but I think when they feel the next day effects, they are over that little bump in the road. So let's look a little closer at one of the fat soluble vitamins that makes our tallow so great-
Vitamin A
There are 2 types of vitamin A, one comes from plants, and the other from animals. The animal type is called retinoid and includes retinol. Everyone concerned about skincare has heard the word 'retinol' and that's because it's associated with anti-aging. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as amp up collagen production. Since our tallow is from grass-fed, grass finished cows, you know you're getting all the natural goodness of animal based vitamin A,
Years ago, doctors and scientists started using a synthetic form of vitamin A called tretinoin. This was used to help patients suffering from acne, but we believe using tallow (a natural form of vitamin a) is why people's skin reacts so well to tallow lotions. Being that it is anti-inflammatory, vitamin A maintains the skin's homeostasis and reduces the incidents of flare-ups in acne.
Retinoids promote the growth of new cells, thus promoting your bodies natural defense system against aging. By this stimulation, it amps up collagen and elastin production.
So from our perspective, tallow is a great substitute to acne medications which can have multiple side effects. It's an all-natural solution to many of our skincare dilemmas.
Hope you enjoyed reading, and if you're so inclined, give our tallow a chance!
